Without Borders
A series of original studies of the Thanet Coastline. Working in oil, with puzzle pieces and other forms of collage, onto ‘Found Frames’ (sourced from local thrift stores), the scenes are not contained within the frame in a traditional sense, instead spilling out, over, and around the entire frame itself. This extending out of the painting aims to represent openness, freedom, and inclusion - in light of recent controversial and callous Tory policy-making - towards all of the floating, transient souls that find their way across the English Channel and onto these shores.
